German &/or German crosses or hybrids

Red German Angora Cross Doe

Storybook Brigitta, Fawn Doe . Brigitta has been a fine mother and is the granddam of many of my fine red German crosses. I am very pleased with her for many reasons. She has a beautiful gentle temperament, she has very respectable density for a cross, and she has a beautifully clear red color with no smut.

68% German cross

Sommer, One of the babies pictured with Liesl, her mother on the first page. Sommer was a very big girl at 11 lbs and she is out of 100% old lines. I've recently crossed one of her offspring with my red lines and I hope to put her size and density onto some awesome reds! Not only that but Sommer also was a very gentle and sweet doe, getting along well with other does.

Sommer, Doe, 100% Older Line German

I lost Sommer earlier this year , but she is such a pretty girl, She was one of my very favorite bunnies. Pictures do not do her justice..

Red German Angora Cross Doe

D'Lynn Red doe. Born Jan, 2006. I have other reds from this litter and there

should be babies from them in the spring of 2007.

German Angora Doe

D'Lynn Melody, ½ new import 10.6 lbs

My first home bred German angora who would register. Melody gives ~350 grams of beautiful fiber every 90 days. Note that she is clean faced (and also has a clean bottom) This is a trait I am striving for in my rabbitry as it significantly reduces the amount of upkeep on the rabbits. It will be marked down when considered for registration, but I differ with IAGARB on this point. I believe clean faces and bottoms are highly desirable traits. And one does not sacrifice very much wool in order to get the carefree type.

More pictures to come as I work my way through the rabbitry clipping this week!

Chestnut & REW German Angoras

I've always loved this picture of Fredricka (Chestnut) and Sommer. It kind of shows what sweet, docile girls they are.

Good temperament is standard for the German Angora, but these 2 girls are particularly so.
