Day 4,

All babies still alive, although one is very puny and I expect him not to make it.

The feeding is still taking a long time. I have switched to puppy formula, fortified with a little dry kitten formula.

Benebac was added to the formula to try and simulate natural bacteria, although I have been advised that due to the pH in the baby's stomach, no beneficial bacteria can live there. (They are in the hind gut and cecum in healthy rabbits)

I tried to find fosters, but with one thing and another, none were avilable. Actually 2 other does were bred the same day as Abby was, but her ½ sister did not "take" and the other doe had a false pregnancy.

Nothing much to report today, excep that they are still with us.
